For some DJs, music is more than just their passion or occupation -- it's the reason for their existence, the thing that keeps their world turning. DJ Amuur is that special breed. Across his two decade journey through music, the Newport News born DJ has lived his life through the music that inspires him; inspiring thousands of Old School Hip Hop and Soul music lovers across Hampton Roads in the process. ​Since his early childhood in Newport News, LPs and singles have been his favorite toys. His family's interest in music has played an important role in the growth of his love for music. His professional radio career started after he moved from Southern California where he attended Chaffey College studied in Radio Broadcasting and Television & Film Productions. Years later started his own FM Radio Station. Right after showing up in the music scene as a radio Now DJ Amuur is broadcast CEO and Disc Jockey of his own LP Professional Broadcast FM Radio Station.
