Essayons Family Garden

We are a family of 5 on a small 2 acre homestead in zone 7a Virginia, right on the border of suburbia and rural farm land. Our videos are usually hosted by Rob, the Sapper Gardener, a retired Army soldier. We focus on gardening, cooking and general homesteading task. We strive for self sufficiency and sustainability by utilizing the 3 R's, Reduce, Recycle, Re-use! Our channel name is based on the French term Essayons! (Let Us Try), the motto for the US. Army Corps of Engineers. We try to bring that same spirit to the way we approach gardening and life.
