Hello & Salam! My name's Tariq and I run Hikma History, dedicated to exploring the rich History of the Islamic World. If you want to learn about Islamic civilisation's incredible past from a non-religious perspective, this is the channel for you! I've been obsessed with History since I was 9 - stories from the past seemed more incredible to me than movies. I was captivated as a youth by tales of Al-Andalus, the rise and dominance of the Ottomans, the splendor and wealth of the Mughals, the vigor and ambition of the Mongols and Timurids. So that's my mission - to help spread awareness of the past so that others can also appreciate those same wonderful stories. Although a one-man team at the moment, as I expand the team I want make longer-format content - I'm talking full blown documentaries!
