I’m Ryan the Ride Mechanic. I’ve always liked rollercoasters. Things I will talk about: rollercoaster basics, track design, train design, break design, chain design, water ride design, anti roll back design, different types of launch methods, maintenance systems, electronic safety systems, hydraulic systems, wheel basics, operations basics, basic amusement park 101 for guests. For all of these I’m simply going off my 14 years in the industry worth of experience. I’ll give the real world explanation as to why they work and what can go wrong. Keep in mind, I’m wrong about some of these things.
