UC Master Gardeners of Butte County

The UC Master Gardeners of Butte County provide research-based education and assistance to home gardeners in Butte County. We help individuals make informed decisions about plants, pests and the environment, with an emphasis on sustainability. Our public workshops are offered in the spring and fall, and we give special talks throughout the year. Our demonstration garden at Patrick Ranch incorporates sustainable gardening practices and is the venue for many of our workshops. We table at local events in our “Ask a Master Gardener” booths, and troubleshoot garden questions by phone or email through our Hotline. We publish articles in "The Real Dirt Blog," and have produced a "Garden Guide & Journal" specific to our region.
